Dual Meet Wins Bring Movement to the Top 10

Oklahoma State unanimously holds the No. 1 spot NWCA/USA Today Division I Coaches Poll, for the third straight week.

The Top 10 showed some movement this week, Penn State moved up to No. 2 in the ranking with a 21-12 win over previously No. 2 ranked Iowa. Ohio State moved into the Top 5 with a 21-9 win also over the Hawkeyes. Iowa dropped from No.2 to No. 6 in this week's poll.

Rounding out this week’s Top 10 are: Oklahoma State, Penn State, Minnesota, Cornell, Ohio State, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, Pittsburgh and Oklahoma.

Edinboro moves into this week’s Top 20, for the first time this season.

There are currently four undefeated teams ranked in the Top 25: Cornell, Hofstra, Maryland, and Oklahoma State.

Out of the Top 25, the following teams will be competing in the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals starting on February 11 (in order by rank): Oklahoma State, Minnesota, Cornell, Ohio State, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, Oklahoma, Michigan, Wyoming, Missouri, Kent State, Oregon State, Central Michigan, and Virginia Tech.

The NWCA/USA Today Division I Team Coaches Poll Committee is made up of one coach from each conference.  A number one ranking is worth 25 points and a number 25 ranking is worth one point.

This poll is based on a dual meet ranking.

A new poll will be released every Tuesday from now until the week of the NCAA Division I Wrestling Tournament and can be found at www.nwcaonline.com.
