Staying true to their principles, the Marines have joined forces with the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) and California USA Wrestling for the 45th Annual NWCA All-Star Classic presented by the Marines to be held at Selland Arena in Fresno, California on November 21, 2010.

These two competitors in the 2010 NWCA All-Star Classic presented by the Marines started their careers in different directions.

Jordan Oliver will lead Oklahoma State back into the All-Star Classic after a one-year hiatus. Oliver, the top-ranked 133-pounder in the nation and returning All-American will take on Boise State’s Andrew Hochstrasser at the 2010 NWCA All-Star Classic presented by the Marines in Fresno, Calif., on November 21 at Selland Arena.

The first weight class for the 45th annual NWCA All-Star Classic presented by the Marines has been announced. Two wrestlers from Pennsylvania colleges will participate at 149 pounds in the All-Star Classic at Selland Arena in Fresno, Calif., on November 21.

I received an email today from my friend Jose Campo, who is a very successful high school wrestling coach out in the San Diego area. Jose let me know that his father, Joe Campo, had passed away last night at the age of 85.

The National Wrestling Coaches Association has announced its annual Division I NWCA All-Academic True Freshman wrestlers for the 2009-10 wrestling season.

For the sixth straight year, high school boys wrestling participation numbers have increased while girls’ participation hit an all-time high as The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) released the 2009-10 participation numbers.
