Best of Brand Power Rankings: Race for the top spot gets tighter as several programs close in on Jeffersonville (IN)

This year’s Best of Brand Awards has been an extremely competitive competition as each of the deserving programs have shown that they deserve to be in the 4th edition of the power rankings! While Jeffersonville (IN) remains the top spot for the 3rd straight month. Sibley-Ocheyedan (IA) continues to climb up the power rankings to number 2, raising 5 spots from last month’s power rankings, through their creative social media marketing as well as winning the funny video #BestofBrandThrowdown.

Jeffersonville (IN) has consistently impressed this year, in large part due to their high-quality graphics and creative highlight videos. As Sibley-Ocheyedan (IA) inched closer to overtaking the top spot from Jeffersonville (IN), the rest of the top 5 was rounded out by Kearney (NE), Legends of Gold (SD), and Lexington (SC).

Coming in at number six is Kearney (MO), who fell one spot from last rankings but continues to be a strong competitor in the top 10. The following 4 spots in the top 10 remain the same from February’s rankings with Burlington (MA), Frankfort (IN), Aurora (NE), Beloit (KS) from 7th to 10th respectfully.

Schools that have impressed over the last month and climbed up the rankings include Hood River Valley at 11, and Lincoln Northeast (NE) at 14. There are 2 new comers this month. The first team is Skutt Catholic (NE) they are coming in at 15, and making their debut in this ranking while Plattsmouth (NE) is making their comeback to this ranking at 16. This is the first time they are back in the rankings since January. There were several others who did outstanding things that were just outside of this honorable mention list.

Each and every program in the top 20 is standing out in their own unique way, but no team is guaranteed a spot on the rankings as the competition continues to push forward.  Each month we have had new teams in the top 5 showing that multiple teams are capable of taking over for next power rankings.  The goal of this competition is to grow the sport of wrestling while making a presence on social media, as the power rankings each month reflect the top programs doing this, every program is making their footprint for this great sport.   We look forward to having more competitions in the coming months to give every program an opportunity to make their case for the top 20!  Don’t forget that these power rankings are not the only competition for this awards program. Submit a graphic or video to this HS Submission Link (for Graphic and Video) to be considered for this section of the awards.

Last month we had great success and participation with the #bestofbrandthrowdown’s as well as a great turnout with USA Wrestling’s #WrestlingWeek so we will continue to have these competitions, this is a great opportunity to showcase your skills and to make a claim to be at the in the power next rankings!
