NWCA Bob Bubb Coaching Excellence Award Finalists

Sioux Falls, SD – The National Wrestling Coaches Association has announced the 2020 finalists for the Bob Bubb Coaching Excellence Award. 

The Bob Bubb Coaching Excellence Award, named after Hall of Fame Clarion Coach Bob Bubb, is presented annually to an outstanding coach who epitomizes the qualities and characteristics of a role model and mentor for developing young student-athletes.  

This year’s award winner will be honored during the NWCA Division II 2020 JimKoch Hall of Fame banquet presented by Sanford Health. This year’s finalists were nominated by coaches from each of the six Super Regions.

Thursday’s ceremony will also include the presentation of the NWCA Division II National Coach of the Year presented by Defense Soap and the 2020 Hall of Fame Class which includes five former wrestlers and two coaches.
 

HALL OF FAME RELEASE 

EVENT DETAILS
The Division II 2020 Jim Koch Hall of Fame banquet and induction ceremony will occur in conjunction with the NCAA Division II National Championships hosted by Augustana University and the Sioux Falls Sports Authority in Sioux Falls, SD. The banquet will take place on Thursday, March 12, 2020, in the Denny Sanford Premier Center on the Veterans Concourse. The event will begin at 5:00 pm and tickets will be available at the door for $25.

The National Wrestling Coaches Association, established in 1928, is a non-profit organization for the advancement of all levels of the sport of wrestling with primary emphasis on developing coaches who work in academic environments. The three core competencies of the NWCA are: Coaching Development, Student-Athlete Welfare, and the Promotion of Wrestling.
