NWCA to give NAIA Women’s National Coach of the Year Award in 2019

Manheim, PA – The NWCA is proud to announce that is has partnered with the NAIA in the establishment of the NAIA/NWCA Women’s National Coach of the Year award presented by Defense Soap.  Defense soap is the Official Hygiene Partner of the NWCA.   

The award will be presented by NWCA Executive Director, Mike Moyer, at the inaugural NAIA Women’s National Wrestling Invitational to be held on the University of Jamestown University (Jamestown, ND) campus on March 15-16. 

“The NAIA has led the charge in the expansion of women’s collegiate wrestling, and we are proud to be able to work with them and Defense Soap, who are also great supporters of women’s wrestling, to provide this award at the inaugural National Women’s Invitational. Growing the sport and honoring great coaches are core competencies of the NWCA.

Format: 
Individual National Championships in ten weight classes and a Team Championship based on individual wrestler finishes.
Double elimination format and the top seven wrestlers in each weight class earn NAIA All-American honors.
