NWCA: Growing Wrestling at All Levels

Ron Beaschler of Ohio Northern University and Bryan Hazard of Robinson HS (VA) where named the 2009 United State Marine Corps Excellence in Leadership Award winners at the 2009 NWCA Convention in Fort Lauderdale, FL. In an effort to assist Cal State Fullerton in its fundraising efforts to help secure its wrestling program, the NWCA is pleased to announce that Cal State Fullerton has been awarded the 44th Annual NWCA All-Star Classic. The NWCA is currently engaged in an effort with all eight programs that have been dropped this spring to help save the programs. In addition, the NWCA is dedicated to strengthening our existing programs while looking to create new ones. The NWCA believes in providing coaches with the most up to date information in sports science to help combat skin infections, proper weight management and nutrition along with injury prevention. The NWCA has a strong committment to women's wrestling. The NWCA sponsors a women's division in the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals. The NWCA also has a board member position for women's wrestling. The USMC Excellence in Leadership Award is one of the many awards of the NWCA recognition program The All-Star Classic will be in California for the first time ever NWCA is engaged in efforts to reinstate dropped programs, protect threatened programs and add new programs. In our committment to student-athlete welfare, the NWCA released a webinar on identification, treament and prevention of skin infections. Oklahoma City University won the NWCA National Duals in 2009.
