Third NWCA All-Star Classic Appearance
Last Season: Finished third at 125 pounds at the NCAA Division I Championships. Big 12 champion; seeded #2 at the NCAA Championships.
Career Highlights: A three-time NCAA All-American finishing third three times, Hazewinkel also won the U.S. Senior National Greco-Roman Championship after his sophomore year. Father and uncle both represented the United States in Greco-Roman Olympic and World Teams.
High School: Went 140-0 and was a three-time state champion. Won the USA Wrestling Junior National Greco-Roman championship twice.

First NWCA All-Star Classic Appearance
Last Season: Finished eighth at the NCAA championships at 125 pounds after taking second in the Pac 10 to Cal Poly’s Chad Mendes. Gardner upset the top-seed, Jeremy Mendoza of Arizona State in the Pac 10 semifinals. He won 37 matches last season and placed in all seven tournaments in which he participated.
Career Highlights: A two-time NCAA qualifier, Gardner has 60 wins in his first two full seasons of varsity competition – not counting his redshirt season. He also studied abroad for a semester in Spain. Named to the NWCA’s All-Academic team.
High School: Gardner was a two-time state champion at Shawnee Heights and finished 80-0 his last two seasons. Was a freestyle All-American in Fargo, finishing third in 2002.

First NWCA All-Star Classic Appearance
Last Season: Won the NCAA championship at 133 pounds, defeating Purdue’s Chris Fleeger in the final and coming from the sixth-seed position. Finished the year on a 24-match win streak, which included an EIWA championship.
Career Highlights: A two-time All-American, Valenti returned to the Penn lineup after taking 2004-05 off and then moving up to 133 pounds. Placed fifth at the NCAA championships as a sophomore at 125 pounds.
High School: Won two New Jersey state championships for Kittatinny High School and finished second at the high school nationals. He also has a Junior Freestyle national title on his resume.

Last Season: Was upset in the first round of the NCAA championships, but battled back for a fifth-place finish at 125 pounds winning seven of eight matches in the consolations. Finished the season 31-7.
Career Highlights: Was a Big 12 champion as a freshman and placed at the NCAA championships after being pulled out of redshirt. Last year, Scott won the FILA Junior National championship in freestyle, earning him a spot on the U.S. FILA Junior world team.
High School: A blistering prep career at Waynesburg saw Scott win three coveted Pennsylvania state high school championships, three Powerade titles and titles at The Beast of the East and the Ironman. Went 156-12 in high school.

Last Season: Picked up a fourth-place finish last season in a loaded 141-pound weight class. Finished the season with a 22-7 record.
Career Highlights: A two-time NCAA qualifier already, Lang was one win away from achieving All-American status as a redshirt freshman and has picked up 50 wins in his first two full seasons in the starting role at 141 pounds.
High School: A four-time Ohio state champion at legendary St. Edward High School in Lakewood. Won the NHSCA senior national championship and was an Asics Tiger All-American selection. Won the 2002 Junior National Freestyle Championship and was second in 2003.
Major: Enrolled in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences.

Last Season: Finished sixth at 133 pounds after falling to eventual national champion Matt Valenti of Penn in the semifinals. Won his second Big 12 championship.
Career Highlights: Morgan started his career with 20 consecutive wins.
High School: Four-time high school state finalist and three time champion. Went 166-6 in high school. Won the Reno Tournament of Champions three times and was an Asics Tiger All-American.

Last Season: Finished fourth at 149 pounds as seeds 1-4 at 149 placed in that exact order. Wrestled Minnesota’s Dustin Schlatter in the semifinals and pinned Hofstra’s Jon Masa in the consolation semifinals.
Career Highlights: A three-time NCAA qualifier and two-time All-American, Storniolo has won 30 bouts in each of his first three seasons, the first at Penn State, and the last two at OU.
High School: Storniolo won three state prep titles at the Haverford School before winning a PIAA state championship in 2002 at State College High School. High School career record of 159-7. Won National Preps in 2001.

Last Season: Won the NCAA championship as a true freshman for J Robinson’s Golden Gophers. Dropped only one match, a 1-0 loss to Central Michigan’s Mark DiSalvo last November and avenged the loss later in the year. Defeated returning NCAA champion Zack Esposito of Oklahoma State twice last season.
High School: Schlatter accomplished most everything in high school, winning four Ohio state championships, making the Asics Tiger All-American team four times, including twice on the first team. Won the NHSCA senior nationals and won two Junior National freestyle championships. Won the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award as a senior.

Last Season: Came from the 10th-seeded position to make a run into the NCAA finals, where he finished second to Boise State’s Ben Cherrington. Pac 10 runner-up last season and finished the year 31-4.
Career Highlights: A two-time NCAA qualifier and two-time All-American. As a sophomore, Stith came from the 11th seeded position to place sixth. Beat returning national champion Matt Gentry for the Pac 10 championship as a sophomore.
High School: A four-time state placewinner and three-time finalist, Stith won the AAA state championship in 2002 for Cox High School in Virginia Beach. Also won the high school national championship.

Last Season: Finished 28-4 on the season and placed fourth at the NCAA championships coming in as the tournament’s top seed. Big 12 champion. Paulson also won the University National championship at 74kg.
Career Highlights: A three-time NCAA qualifier, Paulson’s been seeded no lower than sixth in three trips to the NCAA championships. Finished fourth in the country at 157 pounds as a sophomore
High School: He and twin brother Travis wrestled for Lewis Central High in Council Bluffs. Trent won two Iowa high school state championships, three Junior National Greco-Roman national championships and was the 2002 senior national runner-up. Went 192-2 in high school.

Last Season: Finished third at the NCAA championships at 174 pounds, falling to Northwestern’s Jake Herbert in the semifinals. Finished second in the Big Ten, and went 21-4 for the season. Won the award for most falls at the 2006 NCAA championships. Dropping back down to a more natural weight of 165.
Career Highlights: A two-time All-American, placing second at 165 pounds as a redshirt freshman, falling to his All-Star Classic opponent – Johny Hendricks 5-2. Was also a runner-up at the Big Ten championships.
High School: Won two National Prep championships at high school wrestling powerhouse Blair Academy in New Jersey and compiled a 169-7 career record. Won the Beast of the East and Senior Nationals as a senior and wrestled in both the Dream Team Classic and Dapper Dan. Uncle is John Smith, coach of Oklahoma State.

Second NWCA All-Star Classic Appearance
Last Season: Went 29-1 on the season and won his second NCAA championship with a 9-8 victory over Ryan Churella of Michigan in the finals. One of the most spirited personalities on the mat in college wrestling, Hendricks was undefeated in all 18 of the Cowboys dual matches last season.
Career Highlights: A three-time All-American, Hendricks has thrived at the national tournament, finishing fifth as a redshirt freshman before winning two titles heading into his senior year. Has won 93 collegiate matches (not counting his redshirt year). Recently married former Oklahoma State soccer player Leah Carr.
High School: Went 101-5 at Edmond Memorial and won three high school state championships.

Last Season: First-team all-Ivy selection after his fifth-place finish at the NCAA championships, earning him his first medal at the D-I nationals. Finished second in the EIWA championships.
Career Highlights: Like teammate Matt Valenti, Herrington sat out the 2004-05 season and returned to the lineup and earned All-American status. Has placed at the Midlands and was named to the All-Effort Team in 2006 by InterMat.
High School: One of the most heralded New Yorkers in recent memory, Herrington won two NYS championships and once held the national record for most scholastic victories – 243. That mark was broken by Roger Kish of Minnesota.

Last Season: Had a breakout season, going 24-9 and finishing in eighth-place at 174 pounds. Secured first 20-win season and finished fourth at the Big Ten Championships. Went from 8-12 in duals in 2004-05 to 14-2 in duals last season. Avenged loss to UC-Davis’ Ken Cook at NCAA tournament to earn All-American status.
Career Highlights: First NCAA tournament appearance came last season. Had an up-and-down career at Penn State before 2005-06. Recovered from a torn ACL to return to the mat full-time in 2004-05. Career record of 54-33.
High School: Placed twice in the PIAA championships, including a fifth-place finish his senior season. Went 89-25 at Philipsburg-Osceola High School.

Last Season: Finished second at the NCAA championships at 184 pounds after coming in as the #2 seed. Won the Big Ten Championship and finished the season 37-5.
Career Highlights: A two-time NCAA qualifier, Kish went 28-11 as a redshirt freshman and was a match away from placing at the NCAA championships. Finished sixth in the Big Ten tournament his first year in the line-up.
High School: Top-ranked 189-pounder in the nation his senior season, Kish was a four-time high school state champion for LaPeer West, a team coached by his father. Kish broke Matt Herrington’s record for career victories, surpassing Herrington’s 243 with an impressive 258. Won his last 223 high school matches in a row. Won the NHSCA senior nationals and was a Junior National freestyle champion.

Second NWCA All-Star Classic Appearance
Last Season: Went 36-1 en route to a second-place finish at the NCAA Division I championships at 174 pounds. Only loss of the season was to Missouri’s Ben Askren in the finals. Herbert was the Big Ten champion and was a flawless 14-0 in dual meets. Set a school record for fastest fall with a 17-second fall over Rider’s Doug Umbehauer in the first round at the NCAA tournament. Has a 42-match win streak dating back to the NCAA championships in 2005.
Career Highlights: A two-time All-American, Herbert finished third at the NCAA championships as a redshirt freshman, going 33-3. In 2006, Herbert won the 2006 USA Wrestling University freestyle wrestling championship.
High School: A four-time high school state placewinner at traditionally tough North Allegheny High School outside of Pittsburgh. Won the state championship in 2003 and was a representative of Pennsylvania in the Dapper Dan Classic.
Major: Enrolled in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences.

Last Season: Surprising second-place finish at the NCAA championships coming from the sixth-seeded position. Big Ten champion last season, who went 25-4 last season. Second place finish at the NCAA championships is better than any high school state tournament finish.
Career Highlights: A two-time All-American, placing seventh as an unseeded freshman. Pinned Hofstra’s Chris Skretkowicz to earn All-American status. Went 37-10 as a freshman.
High School: Never placed higher than fourth at the state championship, but did place three times. Went 112-17 at Harrisburg High School and went 33-3 in both his junior and senior years. Never won a district title. Two-time Junior Greco-Roman runner-up and Davis placed eighth in Junior Freestyle in 2003.

Career Highlights: Won the Southern Scuffle last season and qualified for the NCAA’s each of his first three seasons. Went 35-10 as a sophomore.
High School: A three-time high school state placewinner in New Jersey’s rugged one-class system and won the 2003 state championship after placing third as a junior.

High School: Went 90-8 over his final two seasons of high school. Captain of football and wrestling teams and member of National Honor Society.

Last Season: Placed sixth at the NCAA championships after winning his first EIWA championship over Navy’s Tanner Garrett. Went 32-8 on the season and won 18 straight matches heading into the NCAA championships.
Career Highlights: A three-time NCAA qualifier, Ogunwole made a splash at his first NCAA championships, reaching the quarterfinals and finishing in the top 12. As a sophomore, Ogunwole went 25-7, including a 3-2 mark at the 2005 NCAA championships.
High School: A two-time National Prep champion, Ogunwole also was a freestyle All-American at the Junior Nationals and an NHSCA Senior National All-American. Went 172-20 in high school at Germantown Prep.
