The NWCA/USA Today Division I Team Coaches Poll for January 5, 2010, has been released.
Iowa retains their No. 1 spot for the eighth week in a row, as they remain undefeated in dual meet competition for the 2009-10 season.
With many teams lack of dual meet competition over the winter break, the top 10 have remained the same. Maryland and Boise State have broken out of last week’s tie at the No. 8 spot, with Boise State falling into the No. 9 position.
This weekend dual meet competition will be in full swing with the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals taking place at the University of Northern Iowa and the Virginia Duals held in Hampton, Virginia.
The NWCA/USA Today Division I Team Coaches Poll Committee is made up of one coach from each conference. A number one ranking is worth 25 points and a number 25 ranking is worth one point.
