Cornell University remains the top ranked team in the NWCA/USA Today Division I Coaches Poll for November 9, 2010.
After a second place finish at the 2010 NCAA Tournament Cornell University starts the season ranked number 1, by a unanimous vote. They are the first Ivy League team to hold the number 1 ranking.
With most team competing in opening season tournaments there was little movement from the pre-season rankings that were released on October 26, 2010.
The Top 10 teams remain the same from the pre-season poll.
Showing some movement in the Top 20, by moving up two spots were Nebraska No. 13 and Lehigh No. 15, while Virginia Tech dropped from No. 13 to No. 17.
Iowa State moved into the Top 20 after being ranked No. 25 in the pre-season poll.
The NWCA/USA Today Division I Team Coaches Poll Committee is made up of one coach from each conference. A number one ranking is worth 25 points and a number 25 ranking is worth one point.
A new poll will be released every Tuesday from now until the week of the NCAA Division I Wrestling Tournament and can be found at www.nwcaonline.com.
