About NWCA

The NWCA has been serving, protecting, and promoting amateur wrestling in the educational environment since 1928.  We have a long history as the “go-to” organization for coaches, administrators, parents, and wrestlers who seek resources and/or information on coaching development, establishing new programs or protecting vulnerable in the educational environment, and student-wrestler well-being.

What We Do

The NWCA brings the wrestling coaching community together to advance the sport and ensure that current and future generations have the opportunity to engage in a safe and educationally based wrestling experience.

Our Mission and Objectives

The mission of the NWCA to grow the number of wrestlers, coaches and teams at all levels through developing proficient coaches.  The NWCA objectives are centered around C.A.S.E.

State Chairmen

The NWCA has a state representative in each of the 50 states who advocates on behalf of the NWCA and wrestling in general.

Board of Directors

The NWCA is made up of 22 Board of Directors that incorporates scholastic and collegiate coaches, collegiate administrators, business leaders, and affiliated groups that are focused on growing the sport of wrestling.  The current President of the NWCA is Kevin Ward (Head Coach – Army West Point) and President-Elect Tony Ersland (Head Coach – Purdue).

Financial Reports

In order for the NWCA to be able to serve the wrestling community, it must remain a financially viable organization. We seek to establish symbiotic, mutually beneficial relationships between our organization and the communities and programs we assist.
